Why now is the best time to Invest in Equities

Prominent analysts are of the belief that the current market conditions are actually a blessing in disguise and investors should take advantage of it to buy blue chip stocks of good merit in this phase from the stock market. History is evidence that whenever investors invest in temporary bearish times like these it is a really good chance to make good returns in the longer run. So the underlining statement that I am trying to draw is that NOW is a not a good but great time to buy stocks to make money in the long run. Then the next question is what particular type of stocks one should specifically be looking at purchase in good numbers.

Answering that it’s a well-known fact that Equities as an asset class would beat all the other investment classes in the longer tenure, and depending on one’s risk category one should allocate adequate portion of one’s portfolio in the equity basket. Also I should mention that investing in equities is a very positive way to beat the eroding effect of inflation.

In my opinion those who are single and earning well would be probably be having significant amount of disposable income by their side and thereby should allocate significant amount of their portfolio towards equity investment especially in the current time frame .Now they have the advantage of buying equity stocks at a much lower price so they can buy more number of stocks at the same price.

Researchers point out that a look at the ten downturns since 1965 seem to suggest that the best time to invest is often when the economic conditions are negative and there is still an optimistic feel that the macro agents like the ruling coalition governments, the RBI, would do the required correction in the immediate to long run to ensure a market recovery.

So as we speak there are numerous wise investors who have already begun to take advantage of this phase and are investing like never before. Wise investors would not just invest in equity but also balance his portfolio suitably by keeping suitable debt products as well to ensure that his portfolio achieves the financial goals of wealth creation. Investors should spend adequate amount of time researching on the blue chip stocks that they would like to invest, today there are many research methods to understand the firm’s fundamentals and get an understanding whether its growth story is intact and strong for the long run.

Firms like ours have dedicated relationship managers who would assist you in identifying such stocks and thereby help create the ideal portfolio to make sure that you meet the financials goals that you have laid out for yourself.
